FA1ART // Life Drawing

The shapes and forms documented through a mixture of line drawing and dense pencil detailing throughout my sketchbook allow me to explore 2D constructions which I aim to project onto the studio wall.

Deformed facial features from the adverse effects of botox combined with paper cut outs

By re-working life drawing sketches, I was able to combine my attempts of body forms with drawing in a way that feels more intrinsic to the outcomes of non-observational drawing.

Objectifying flesh in this abstract way allowed me to transform something visible into something that doesn’t exist. Drawing in this way meant that the act drawing through seeing became confusing and misleading. Something got lost in translation. By returning to these drawings I could create an ignorant interpretation of what as in front of me. It was incorrect. But, reworking them is my attempt to correct them to suit myself.
